Pro-bloggers blogs can give you some idea about their design, looks, niche, contents but can't describe the strategy, smart work plans behind which are also the main reasons to be a successful blog. A successful blog can generate millions of dollars per month but it takes time, patience, smart work, and right long term strategy.

Truly, I am also running a multi-niche blog and I can say, It's most difficult tasks to manage itself but I love these types of difficult tasks because they teach me everything I need to learn to make my multi-niche blog successful and also they give my life to a new direction with lot's enjoyable lessons to live in this matrix world.

    Choose Right Blogging Platform

I recommend you to use self-hosted WordPress instead of a free blogging platform because it has no limitations like others have. You can do anything you want to do with it and you will be your own boss with authority.

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system based on PHP and MySQL. Features include a plugin architecture and a template system. It is most associated with blogging but supports other types of web content including more traditional mailing lists and forums, media galleries, and online stores.

You don't believe me, over 80% blogger uses WordPress in blogging in all over the world instead of other platform and also 90% business owners uses WordPress for their website.

To run a WordPress blog, You don't need to be a techy guy or a web developer or designer because It has free plugins almost for anything that allow you to do any specific task with few clicks instead of doing any coding (You can also use paid plugins) and also It has lots of free professional looking themes for their users to use (You can also use paid Themes).

I am using the WordPress platform for blogging since 2010 and really amazed with their services. They also improve their services on a daily basis to protect their users from cyber attacks and frauds. WordPress is loved and recommended by all pro-bloggers because of lots of features and no restrictions.

Choose a Good Web Hosting Service

Since 2010, I have used many web hosting services including shared, managed and unmanaged VPS. I have had absolutely bad experiences with Godaddy and Fatcow hosting services, and I have had some great experiences with budget shared hosting companies such as BlueHost and Hostgator.

Bluehost is my top choice while starting a blog which is the cheapest hosting service and also It is officially recommended by WordPress team. You can choose their plan according to your budget and their plan currently costs only $3.95/month for the first year, and with unlimited bandwidth and storage, this plan provides very good value for the money.

One of the good features of Bluehost is, It allows their users to install WordPress with few clicks using their marketplace without any technical knowledge about Database and also they allow their users to install multiple WordPress blogs on the same hosting package.

This web hosting is not only my top choice but even It is also recommended by many other professional bloggers at the starting of your blogging journey. As a beginner, selecting the right hosting service is not only crucial but also a headache! I’m sure for your money quality matters a great deal to you, as it does to me.

Remember Article Quality, Quantity, and Length

With the multi-niche blog, Bloggers have many topics to write and also at the starting, They tries to write as much as possible articles but while writing an article they forget quality & length most of the time which results low ranking in search engine.

Content is King you may already know or you may hear already in many bloggers blog article but that's true. Search engines love quality articles and rank high these articles in their search page even they are not properly optimized with SEO.

You should always write what you love to write or write something which you are passionate about or write something with your experiences and knowledge. If you follow these things then you don't need to worry about your blog SEO and If you also follow the SEO rules then no one gonna beat your blog in search engine page.

Multi niche blog contains multiple categories and every category needs to be filled with the sufficient number of articles with time to time as It will always be under the eyes of search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing, etc.

You should at least write one article per category per day and the minimum article length should be 700 words with Title under 60 characters having your main focused keywords. Also, use your focused keywords in the article having an optimal value of keyword density between 1-3% including article relevant keywords.

Another way, You can write 3 - 4 long articles per category per week. When done lots of research on article length that which works best on Google search page then researchers found, the average word count of a Google first page result was 1,890 - 2450 words. Now the choice is yours, I am not gonna force you anyway.

    Hire Authors, Editors, and Contributors

Imagine trying to do that all yourself. It's not impossible, but it would take a whole lot that the average person, myself included, is not able to do.

QUALITY content is king, and the more you are able to create that kind of experience, the bigger your blog can get. By leveraging the efforts of others around one common goal, amazing things can happen.

Multi niche blogs need more Authors, Contributors and few Editors to manage the blog perfectly. For single author, It's more difficult to manage in a long term way so don't do the same mistake like I had done earlier.

Hire some Authors and Editors for different - different categories of niche. Also, allow guest posting on your blog with some instructions.
    • Administrator (slug: 'administrator') – somebody who has access to all the administration features within a single site.
    • Editor (slug: 'editor') – somebody who can publish and manage posts including the posts of other users.
    • Author (slug: 'author') – somebody who can publish and manage their own posts.
    • Contributor (slug: 'contributor') – somebody who can write and manage their own posts but cannot publish them.
While approving any Author, Editor or Contributor, Make sure they follow your guideline. Approve them, If they can provide consistent quality articles to your blog.

At the starting, I will suggest you work as the editor ( last person to approve a post before publishing ).

    Don't Forget About SEO

SEO is short for "search engine optimization". To put it simply, SEO is any action is taken that is meant to better optimize or improve your website's performance in organic search results. The end goal of SEO is usually to get a website to rank in the #1 spot on search engines like Google, or at least on the first page.

There are thousands of blogs comes online every day and competition is getting harder for everyone. SEO has emerged as a way to tell search engines which websites or blogs deserve the valuable attention of searchers. Without SEO, Google might rank blogs that don't have relevant quality data at the very top spot of search results!

SEO is made up of a lot of smaller components, including keyword and keyphrase optimization, link building, content marketing, and more. It also involves some extensive research to determine what actions need to be taken on websites, and where specifically to take them.

So, You need SEO (Search Engine Optimization) because It sends the right signals to search engines, and push your website up the list of results into the top spot.

    Use Email Marketing Strategy

It can be used thoughtfully to build loyalty and trust in your brand. Email marketing is important for building relationships with prospects, leads, current readers or customers, and even past readers or customers because it gives you a chance to speak directly to them, in their inbox, at a time that is convenient for them.

Email represents one of the easiest and most direct ways of reaching the people who are most interested in your content. After all, if they visit your blog and opt-in to receive emails from you then you can be sure that they are interested in hearing more from you!

The primary reason that email is so powerful comes down to how personal it is. Your readers will receive each email as a direct note from you, which truly helps to build a relationship between your blog and your readers.

Even better, it also allows you an incredibly high conversion way of driving traffic to your blog, by tapping into a self-selected audience of your most interested readers.

Whether you are trying to drive traffic to a new article or promote your own product or service, email allows you to make a direct appeal to your audience. You spend a lot of time creating high-quality blog content, so you want to make sure that your most interested readers are seeing that content.

    Use Social Media Marketing Strategy

We need to accept the concept that blogging and social media go hand-in-hand. Bloggers need to have a social media presence. This is crucial to the success of a blog.

Social media marketing (SMM) is the act of creating brand awareness to drive targeted traffic from social media sites. These sites include Facebook, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, YouTube, Flickr, community forums, etc.

Marketing in this way will directly help in driving traffic, generating links, building domain authority, increasing traffic rank, and perhaps most importantly, getting more subscribers. Overall, SMM will help in driving targeted traffic, and bloggers can benefit from the golden rule: More targeted traffic = Higher earnings.

SMM relies on user interactions. Any place where people can interact is a place that can be marketed to.
    • Social Media: Websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube, Flickr, etc. where users (or groups of users) share some kind of media (e.g. videos, images, songs, texts, etc.).
    • Social Bookmarking: Websites like Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious, etc. where users can bookmark their favorite URLs and share them publicly.
    • Social News: Websites like Techmeme where users submit news articles that get ranked based on popularity.
    • Social Apps: With the increasing usage of Smartphones, we can’t afford to ignore the importance of social apps like Foursquare and Viber where users can interact with one another on-the-go.
Social media marketing (SMM) can give bloggers lots of benefits like Free, niche-oriented traffic, increased Domain Authority, better visibility, and popularity, cheaper and better conversions, get higher ranking in SERPs, better crawling of blog and brand domination, etc.

    Don't Forget Blog Monetization:

Need money? Why not? Maintaining a blog requires some money…You need to renew web hosting, and domain name annually.

There are many ways to monetize a blog but mainly I like Google AdSense and Affiliate programs like Amazon, Flipkart, Clickbank, and Web hosting affiliates, etc. These both give me a decent income from months to months constantly.

Google AdSense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements, that are targeted to site content and audience. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google.

If you are Google AdSense users then my previous article can help you to boost your AdSense income: How to make 1 million dollar with Google AdSense in a year

Affiliate programs, also called associate programs, are arrangements in which an online merchant Web site pays affiliate Web sites a commission to send them traffic. These affiliate Web sites post links to the merchant site and are paid according to a particular agreement. This agreement is usually based on the number of people the affiliate sends to the merchant's site or the number of people they send who buy something or perform some other action. Some arrangements pay according to the number of people who visit the page containing their merchant site's banner advertisement.

Basically, if a link on an affiliate site brings the merchant site traffic or money, the merchant site pays the affiliate site according to their agreement. Recruiting affiliates is an excellent way to sell products online, but it can also be a cheap and effective marketing strategy; it's a good way to get the word out about your site.

    Have Patience:

This might not sound that heavy but this point holds the future of your multi-niche blog. You have to be well patient enough for an initial couple of months and maintain regularity.

This point cannot be explained in more detail, as a blogger you must be knowing about the role of being patient in blogging.

I have seen many bloggers those have not patience, Do the unnecessary things with their blog and also they steal the contents from the authoritative blogs which result at the end quieting blogging.

Truly, I used to be one of them for the few couples of years of starting my blogging journey and when I realized my mistakes, I improved my mistakes. Like me you should also improve your mistakes and keep in mind, It takes times to achieve any goal so be patience.

Limitations of running a Multi Niche Blog

No doubt if you follow everything accordingly you will succeed with your multi-topic blog but you will or can still face some difficulties and there are some disadvantages or I must use the word "Limits" of having a Multi niche blog.
    • Difficult to get Loyal Readers.
    • Hard to get a good number of Subscribers.
    • AdSense alone won’t help much.
    • You won’t get many Advertisers, as they like to approach a single niche blog.
I guess these tips including the above mentioned key points are well enough to help you get started and start making money with a multi-niche blog. Do you have something to share or ask? Well, that’s what the comment box is for, feel free to use it.
